Terms of Service

These terms apply to the use of this website. Booking and doing the cleaning work is covered separately, in a written agreement for each property.

1. What these terms cover

These terms cover your use of the website friezeprotocol.com, operated by the operator of Frieze Protocol. They do not set the terms of a cleaning engagement; those are agreed in writing for each property and summarised on the Terms of Conditions page.

2. Using the site

• Purpose: the pages describe room turnover, linen handling and deep room treatment for hotels, guesthouses and short-stay rooms, and let you write to us.
• Contact messages: please send genuine enquiries about the service, with accurate details.
• Not allowed: attempting to break into or overload the site, sending automated or abusive messages, or presenting the site’s content as your own.
• No account: the site has no accounts, logins or purchases, so there are no passwords to look after.

3. What the pages are not

The pages are a description of a cleaning and linen-handling service. They are not legal, accounting or regulatory advice. Whether and how a property must be licensed or notified under the Hotel Business Act (旅館業法) or the Private Lodging Business Act (住宅宿泊事業法), what hygiene standards apply and how guests must be registered are matters for the property operator and the competent authority, such as the local public health centre. Please check the current official text and ask the authority when in doubt.

Nothing on the site is an offer that binds Frieze Protocol until a written quote has been agreed by both sides. Prices shown with the word “from” are starting prices.

4. Photographs

The photographs on the pages are stock illustrations of cleaning work and of rooms and halls. They are not photographs of our work, of our staff or of any client’s property, and no person shown in them is a member of our team or a client. Records of agreed work are produced for the client and are not published here.

5. Availability and changes

We try to keep the site available, but we do not promise uninterrupted access. Text, prices and pages may change; the version on the site at the time you read it applies. Material changes to these terms are marked with the date at the foot of this page.

6. Intellectual property

The text, layout and page design of this site belong to the operator of Frieze Protocol, apart from third-party stock images used under their licences and the Tailwind runtime, which is open-source software under its own licence. You may read, print and quote short passages with attribution for your own reference. You may not copy the site or its text for another service.

Whatever you send us stays yours. By sending it you allow us to use it to answer you and to prepare a quote.

6a. Messages and accuracy of details

Please do not put the personal details of guests of your property into a message; the number of rooms and the town are all we need to begin. Prices are shown in Japanese yen. Where a page and a written quote differ, the written quote applies to that engagement, and if you spot a mistake on a page, tell us and we will correct it.

6b. Accessibility

The pages are meant to be read on a phone as well as on a desktop screen, with a skip link, labelled form fields and text that scales. If something on a page is hard to use, write to us and describe the page and the problem, and we will look at it.

7. Links

The site does not link to outside websites as part of its content. If a link to another site is added, that site is outside our control and its own terms apply.

8. Liability

We take care to keep the pages accurate, but they are provided as they are. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for loss caused by relying on the pages instead of on a written quote or agreement. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot be limited by law, including under the Consumer Contract Act where it applies.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. A dispute about the use of the site is first taken up by writing to us at the address below; if it is not settled, the competent court in Japan decides it.
