Cookies and Local Storage
Frieze Protocol sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. This page says what the site does and how to confirm it yourself.
What the site does
- Cookies: none. No page sets a cookie, and no page reads one.
- Local storage and session storage: none. Nothing is written to your browser’s storage.
- Analytics and advertising tags: none. There is no measurement script, no pixel and no advertising identifier on any page.
- Third-party loads: none. The stylesheet runtime (a file called tailwind.js), the images and the icon are all served from friezeprotocol.com. Fonts named in the stylesheet are those already installed on your device; nothing is fetched from a font service.
- Maps and embedded media: none. Addresses are written as text.
Why there is no cookie banner
A consent banner is needed when a site stores or reads information on your device for purposes beyond making the page work. This site does not, so a banner would ask you a question to which every answer leads to the same result.
What still happens when you visit
Your browser asks the server for each page and file, and the server answers. The server, or the provider that hosts it, may record the usual technical details of that exchange, such as the time, the file asked for and the IP address, in access logs. We do not use those logs to identify visitors, and they are not combined with the messages you send.
The contact form sends the fields you fill in to the next page in the address bar of your browser when you press the button. We do not set a cookie to remember you.
How to check this yourself
Open the developer tools of your browser, look at the Application or Storage panel and choose Cookies, Local Storage and Session Storage for friezeprotocol.com; each should be empty. In the Network panel, reload a page: every request should go to friezeprotocol.com.
You can also set your browser to block cookies altogether. The site works the same either way, because it uses none.
Things that look like cookies but are not
- The browser cache: your browser keeps copies of the pages, images and the runtime file so that the next visit loads faster. This is a feature of the browser and it holds no information about you. Clearing the cache in the browser settings removes it.
- Form suggestions: the contact form fields carry standard labels (name, email), so your browser may offer to fill them from details you saved in the browser. That list lives in your browser; the site never sees it until you press the button.
- Email and phone links: the addresses on the pages are ordinary links. Clicking one opens your mail program or phone application, which have their own settings and policies.
Hosting and server logs
Like any website, friezeprotocol.com is delivered by a server run by a hosting provider. The provider can see the request that reaches the server, which includes the time, the page asked for, the type of browser and the network address it came from. That information is needed to deliver the page and to keep the server secure. We do not add anything to it and we do not read it to follow individual visitors.
Rules about sending data to other servers
Japan’s rules on external transmission under the Telecommunications Business Act (電気通信事業法) require some site operators to tell visitors when information about them is sent from the browser to outside servers, for example to an analytics or advertising provider. This site sends nothing of the kind, so there is nothing to disclose or to opt out of; if that changes, this page is the first place the notice will appear.
Your choices
Because the site stores nothing on your device, there is nothing to switch on or off here. If you do not want your browser to remember form entries, turn off autofill in its settings. If you do not want to use the form at all, email or phone is always available, and the Privacy Policy explains how to ask us to delete a message you have already sent.
If this changes
If measurement or advertising tags are added later, a consent banner with real controls will be added at the same time, and this page and the Privacy Policy will be updated before the tags go live. Until then, this page describes the site as it is.
